this place fails in all but the most basic aspects

As a cigar lounge, this place fails in all but the most basic aspects- one can sit there and smoke and drink. The entire place is a weird trashy cubanesque experience. The owner seems to think that people want cigars and mediocre food cooked in a closet he passes off as a kitchen, with french fries that take half an hour to arrive and food garnished with mint. The cigar selection is mediocre to terrible, and the prices are absurd for the area. It seems as if he took the price of every cigar he sold, and added three dollars to it. This would be great if it wasn’t for the fact that the selection stays almost entirely under 20 dollars. Furthermore, the owner, Dallas something, seems to enjoy bragging about selling ‘cuban custom rolls’ at wildly inflated prices to his customers, lying to them about the quality of the cigar. Selling Cuban cigars in an American shop is, of course, still wildly illegal, as is the Cuban rum he keeps as the well rum and the rum he poured into an old Crystal Skull Vodka bottle, which tastes like Santiago 8 Year. The one bright spot is the bartenders, at least when Dallas isn’t there to talk down to customers. The two guys working there now are adept enough, though the real heart of the bar doesn’t seem to have come back since bars reopened post-Covid shutown. I would stop here only if every other bar and outdoor patio burned down, if friends didn’t drag me there.
