You work hard for your money. And right now, it seems like everything is costing more, and cigars are no different. But the quest for a great cigar under $10 remains. Is it (still) possible to get a good cigar for less than ten bucks?

NOTE: This list is as comprehensive as possible. While it's not possible for anyone to smoke every cigar for every category, we've done our best to be as thorough as we can be. If you'd like more information about our rating system, click here.

Best Cigars Under $10 (2022 Edition)

Ok, if we were going to meet up and have a smoke, and you had a budget of $10 (not including tax), here are the cigars I'd point you to.

#1: Oliva Serie V Double Robusto

Oliva Serie V Double Robusto

While I love the Oliva Serie V line of cigars, it's the Double Robusto that makes it in under the $10 mark. The Serie V has rich flavors of cinnamon and other spices that are balanced with earthy flavors that make up a really nice smoke. Plus, it's hard to ignore the quality and length of smoke for the price.

Brand: Oliva
Line: Serie V
Size: 5 x 54
Price: $9.33

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

#2: H. Upmann Nicaragua AJ Fernandez Heritage Robusto

H. Upmann Nicaragua AJ Fernandez Heritage Robusto

In a recent review, I asked the question, “what the heck is AJ Fernandez doing?!” Over the past year or so, AJ Fernandez has been breathing new life into some classic, legacy brands. And that includes the H. Upmann Nicaragua AJ Fernandez Heritage that was released at the beginning of 2022. With this cigar, you'll find bold flavors that are well-balanced and not too overwhelming or one-dimensional.

Brand: H. Upmann & AJ Fernandez
Line: Nicaragua Heritage
Size: 5 x 52
Price: $9.99

Wrapper: Brazilian Mata Fina
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

Drew Estate Undercrown Shade Corona

If you're looking for a milder cigar that still has tons of delicious flavors, look no further than the Drew Estate Undercrown Shade. I smoked one of these over the weekend while drinking a cup of coffee, and it was truly a fantastic smoking experience. If you're looking for a great, mild cigar under $10, the UC Shade in the Corona vitola is what you're looking for.

Alec Bradley Tempus Nicaragua Medius 6 Toro

When we opened our retail store, we chose 10 cigars to sell first. One of those first ten was the Alec Bradley Tempus Nicaragua Medius 6 Toro. When you smoke this cigar, you'll taste hints of spice, lots of creaminess, and really delicious signature Nicaraguan flavors. Pair this with coffee, or don't; you won't be disappointed.

Brand: Alec Bradley
Line: Tempus Nicaragua

Price: $8.90

Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua

#5: Kafie 1901 San Andres Six Forty Two

Kafie 1901 San Andres Six Forty Two

Simply put, the Kafie 1901 San Andres Six Forty Two is delicious. And, it succeeds where other complex blends have failed. Instead of a cigar that offers 5 countries' worth of tobacco where none stand out, Kafie 1901 delivers a quality cigar where you can actually taste all of the nuanced regions involved.

NOTE: The Kafie 1901 San Andres we reviewed was from their factory in Honduras. We have not reviewed this cigar since they moved production to the La Aurora Factory in the Dominican Republic.

#6: Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne Epicure

Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne Epicure

If there were ever a “gateway cigar,” it would be the Perdomo Champagne. This cigar is not only a great price, but its mild yet flavorful taste makes it equally approachable for newer smokers and aficionados alike. With the 10th Anniversary Champagne, Nick Perdomo has truly blended a cigar that appeals to everyone.

#7: RoMa Craft Intemperance EC XVIII Brotherly Kindness Robusto Extra

RoMa Craft Intemperance EC XVIII Brotherly Kindness Robusto Extra

While this cigar has been a favorite of ours for years and has shown up on various lists, the Intemperance EC XVIII is still relevant. Oh, and it's still delicious. With this cigar, RoMa Craft diverges from their typically super-strong blends but doesn't deviate from their signature full flavors. Underneath the Shade wrapper, you'll find milder Indonesian & Dominican tobaccos that really deliver a tasty cigar.

Brand: RoMa Craft
Line: Intemperance EC XVIII
Size: 5 x 56
Price: $8.25

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade
Binder: Indonesia

#8: Rocky Patel Sun Grown Robusto

Rocky Patel Sun Grown Robusto

When I reviewed this cigar, I did so blindly. I was thoroughly impressed. The Rocky Patel Sun Grown Robusto was sweet. It was also spicy. It was complex. It also had nearly perfect construction and a fantastic smoke time. If you've not had a Rocky Patel cigar in a while, give this one a shot. I don't think you'll regret it.

Brand: Rocky Patel
Line: Sun Grown
Size: 5 1/2 x 50
Price: $8.30

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sun Grown Sumatra

#9: Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto

Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto

If you've followed our content for a very long, you know we've got a place in our heart for a Mexican San Andres wrapper leaf. With the Crow, the Corojo and Criollo fillers, and their associated spices, were on par with the San Andres. This cigar is well blended, and you'll find a nice contrast between the sweet and spicy.

Brand: Blackbird
Line: Crow
Size: 5 x 50
Price: $7.89

Wrapper: Mexican San Andres
Binder: Nicaraguan Habano

#10: Room 101 Doomsayer Passive Toro

Room 101 Doomsayer Passive Toro

While I didn't love the Doomsayer Aggressive with the Undisclosed Oscuro Maduro wrapper, the Passive uses a delicious Ecuadorian Habano leaf. The Passive has delicious spiciness and creaminess, plus a good price. If you're looking for the best cigars under $10, this is not one you'll want to skip.

Brand: Room 101
Line: Doomsayer Passive
Size: 6 x 55
Price: $7.50

Honorable Mentions

There are so many great cigars, and 2019 was a great year for these premium sticks. But, not every cigar can make the top 10 list. Here are some of my favorite cigars that deserve some recognition.

Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra Toro

Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra Toro

Although the blend has changed a little from when I fell in love with this cigar back in 2007, the Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra Toro is still one heck of a cigar. The Sumatran wrapper really smoothens and sweetens this cigar that I smoke as often as I can.

Brand: Rocky Patel
Line: The Edge Sumatra
Size: 6 x 52
Price: $8.00

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Nicaragua

Drew Estate Nica Rustica El Brujito Toro

Drew Estate Nica Rustica El Brujito Toro

If I didn't have frequent construction issues, specifically hollow spots, with this cigar, it would be one of the top 10 best cigars under $10. The Drew Estate Nica Rustica brings bold, rich, and delicious flavors to a cigar that has no right being under $6.

Brand: Drew Estate
Line: Nica Rustica
Size: 6 x 52
Price: $5.76

Wrapper: United States Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Mexican San Andres
Filler: Nicaragua

Padron Thousand Series Londres Natural

Padron Thousand Series Londres Natural

When I was a younger cigar smoker, I didn't enjoy the earthy flavors that characterize Padron cigars, especially the ones in their Thousand Series. However, over the years, I've come to really appreciate a well-aged Padron. This Nicaraguan puro is as good as they come, so if you can find one, give it a try.

Brand: Padron
Line: Thousand Series
Size: 5 1/2 X 42
Price: $6.10

Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
