Initial Thoughts:
I've been hearing about Blackbird Cigars for a while now, so when I saw the Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto on the shelf at a local lounge, I had to grab one.
To be honest, I picked up this cigar because, in big black letters, it says “SAN ANDRES” on it. And, if you saw the Top 10 Cigars Under $10 list, you know I love a Mexican San Andres wrapper.
After cutting the Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto, the draw was good, and the cold draw flavors were somewhat mild and cedary.
Once lit, the draw was good, and I could get plenty of smoke from the cigar. The initial flavors were of cedar with spice and something sweet lurking in the background. Where the Mexican San Andres really shines is on the retrohale.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto had nearly perfect construction. The draw was great, the burn was great (after getting it lit all the way around), and I could get plenty of smoke on each puff.
However, I wish the Blackbird Crow had been a little sweeter and that they'd let the Mexican San Andres wrapper shine through a little more. As it was, the Corojo and Criollo fillers, and their associated spices, were on par with the San Andres, and almost overshadowed it. But, the cigar was well blended, and there was a nice contrast between the sweet and spicy.
This is a good cigar that won't cost you a lot of money, and I'd definitely smoke it again. The Blackbird Crow San Andres Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
