Initial Thoughts:

Back when we were living in Boston in 2019, I remember grabbing up the C.L.E Prieto. It was so enjoyable. The flavors were unique and the cigar left a lasting impression with me, so much so that it earned a spot in the list of Best Cigars of 2019. So, when I walked into my local lounge and saw the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto on the shelf, I picked it up with excitement!

On the cold draw, the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto has the same flavors of ginger that I remembered and which led me to pick this cigar up in the first place.

Final Thoughts:

The flavors of ginger that I tasted in the cold draw were almost non-existent after lighting it up. However, that doesn’t mean the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto was without flavor. It wasn’t. In fact, this cigar has tons of flavor and lots of spicey notes throughout the entire smoke.

Regarding the burn, it was perfect. As was the draw. While I didn’t just love the flavors of this cigar, it was extremely well constructed and there was basically nothing to complain about. And, while the blend didn’t hit a home run for me, the flavors might be perfect for you. For these reasons, the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
