When I grabbed the AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro for review, I noticed a crack in the wrapper, perhaps where the label was before I took it off. Since I didn’t know if I caused this damage when I removed the paper prematurely, I tried to not take this blemish into account when considering my review.

Initial Thoughts

The AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro has a fairly dark, but very textured, Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper. For some reason, the cigar felt a little dry to the touch. But, it had a nice aroma before lighting. Also, maybe due to being dry, I was getting bits of tobacco in my mouth after cutting the end with my guillotine.

Once lit, the AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil was very spicy and Earthy. Other than the crack in the wrapper, the cigar starts off very well.

Final Thoughts

I was able to smoke the AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro for a disappointingly short 58 minutes. The flavors were pretty good, but they did turn a little sour toward the end. In fact, the smokey, soy sauce flavors were a little weird.

Regarding the construction, the cigar was a little dry, and I think it was packed too loose. Both of these things contributing to a shorter smoke time than the expected 90+ minutes.
