Initial Thoughts
It's always exciting to smoke a cigar from a brand-new company. Today we're taking a look at the Cabal Initiative Short Robusto, the first cigar from Cabal Cigars.
The Cabal Initiative Short Robusto is a fun-looking cigar. The Dominican wrapper is somewhat rustic, but still very attractive. The wrapper also wonderfully extends beyond the foot to close it off, which should give us a nice blast of (Corojo?) flavors.
Once lit, the cigar produced lots of spicy flavors. However, the taste was, for some reason, somewhat familiar to me, and the buttery and creamy notes were a good balance to the Dominican Corojo wrapper leaf.
The Cabal Initiative Short Robusto smelled great, and it tasted good but started with a tight draw. Will it be worth $10? Let's find out.

Final Thoughts
After 71 minutes, I was done with the Cabal Initiative Short Robusto, and it was a decent smoke.
Once I smoked through the first half inch, I got some really wonderful flavors from this cigar. However, in the final third, the flavors were a little harsh. I also had a tight draw for most of the cigar.
Since the final third of the cigar wasn't as good as the first two-thirds, and since the tight draw had such a negative impact on the experience, the Cabal Initiative Short Robusto earns a CigarScore 3.
