Cigar Review: Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana Toro

The Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana is a brand new, 2026 release from La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Nicaragua.

Initial Thoughts

As soon as I heard about the new Undercrown, I knew I had to try it. The Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana feels more premium than a regular Undercrown, and looks more like it would fit in with the Undercrown 10. The El Tigre’s wrapper is fancier, and it comes in a box that’s slightly more premium.

The Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper on the El Tigre Dominicana looks great. It’s smooth and well rolled. Right off the bat, the El Tigre had a wonderful aroma. Even before lighting it, I could smell something wonderful.

Once lit the flavors were good with notes of wood, and after a few puffs strong notes of pepper showed up.

Will the Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana Toro be a good addition to the brand? Let’s find out.

Final Thoughts

I was able to smoke the Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana Toro over an hour and a half, and I really enjoyed it. This blend is a great addition to the Undercrown line.

Regarding where it falls on the spectrum of premium cigars, I think the El Tigre Dominicana fits more with the Undercrown 10 than it does with the regular and original Undercrowns. The El Tigre has refinement and complexity that’s often reserved for more premium cigars.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar and am looking forward to sharing it with the Adventure Club. The Drew Estate Undercrown El Tigre Dominicana earns a CigarScore 5.
