Cigar Review: Cohiba Black Robusto Tubo

Initial Thoughts:

After taking the first puff, I realized that the Cohiba Black Robusto Tubo, despite its near-black wrapper, was actually a medium-bodied cigar. When I cut the end cap with my guillotine, tobaccos much lighter in color were revealed inside. The wrapper did have some texture to it, but the cigar was easy to light and it had a pretty decent draw.

Final Thoughts:

The construction of the Cohiba Black Robusto Tubo was really good.

However, the flavors weren't as rich and tasty as some of the other cigars in the same price point, but those flavors did seem to be blended pretty well. Even though the draw was a little tight, I could get plenty of smoke on each puff, so I got to taste every bit of tobacco Cohiba put into this Black Robusto.

While the $13 cost of a cigar of this size is pretty high, I think the build quality and flavors make it worthwhile. For these reasons, I give the Cohiba Black Robusto Tubo a CigarScore of 4.
