Cigar Review: My Father The Judge Toro Fino

Initial Thoughts:

If you've been following me for a while, you know I'm a big fan of Don Pepin and My Father Cigars. So, when I picked up The Judge by My Father, I was pretty excited for my next taste of what the Garcia family can do.

The Judge is a well-made cigar. The wrapper shows no veins and the leaf is pressed really well. The draw of the cigar started really easy with my punch, and the burn was consistent from the very beginning.

Final Thoughts:

As you'll see in the video, about halfway through, The Judge developed a serious canoeing effect. I had to brace myself against the wind and try and even out the smoke with my torch. While The Judge Toro Fino by My Father seemed like a well-built cigar, it did have some issues.

However, the flavors were good, the draw, though tighter, was consistent and provided plenty of smoke. If the cigar hadn't had the bad burn during the middle third of the smoke, it would have ranked higher. But, it didn't, so I have to give The Judge by My Father a CigarScore of 3.
