Initial Thoughts:
To be honest, I went into the PDR 1878 Capa Oscura Robusto with pretty low expectations. I've never heard of PDR before, I'm not familiar with their brand, and I don't quite understand the pigtail end cap.
However, the match-lit cedar lights the cigar with a great flavor. And, although the taste isn't as rich and smooth as other cigars, there is a hint of sweetness hidden in each puff.

Final Thoughts:
The PDR 1878 Capa Oscura is an ok smoke. This would be a good cigar to give a friend who doesn't smoke very often, but wants to have a cigar with you – it's not great, but you won't feel terrible making the recommendation.
