Cigar Review: Punch Deluxe Chateau L

Initial Thoughts:

The Punch Deluxe Chateau L came highly recommended, so I started it with high expectations tempered by a lack of love for Punch cigars. And, of course, I had to punch the end. The draw started very smooth, no issues there, and the burn was very even and tight. The flavors are earthy and it's quite obvious from the quality construction that Punch has expert rollers making their cigars.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, the flavors of the Punch Chateau L were good, but nothing really stood out. It's not a sweet cigar, but it's consistent. I'd give the Chateau L a 4 but it's somewhat expensive. Yes, it's a large cigar, but other cigars in at this price point are better.

About half-way through, the wrapper got a wickedly uneven burn, but a quick blast from the torch fixed it. If you want to smoke a really well-made cigar, grab this stick. However, the Chateau L, although a good cigar, wasn't memorable. I give this stick a CigarScore of 3, but it's a high 3.
