Cigar Review: Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut Short Churchill

Initial Thoughts

One of the cool things about the Adventure Club monthly cigar subscription is that you get to try, not only new cigars, but variations of cigars within the same line. In a previous month we got to review the Knuckle Sandwich Maduro, and this month we're taking a look at the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut.

The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut Short Churchill was a great looking cigar, and I hoped it'd be a worthy successor to the KS Maduro. After a quick cut and a short sniff, the unlit KS Connecticut smelled like dry leaves. Once lit, the flavors were light on the palate and also quite leafy.

While I hate to compare these two cigars, both the KS Maduro and the Connecticut started off a little… blah. However, within about 5 minutes, both delivered a noticeable flavor change for a marked improvement. Will the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut Short Churchill be worth almost $15?

Let's smoke it and find out.

Final Thoughts

Due to the hollow spot early in the first third, I smoked the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut Short Churchill for only about 61 minutes. Other than the minor construction flaw, I really enjoyed this cigar. The flavors were very enjoyable even though the KS Connecticut wasn't the best cigar to pair with coffee.

While I wish this cigar had smoked longer, I had a great smoking experience and I think this is one you should try. The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Connecticut Short Churchill earns a CigarScore 4.
