Humidor Upgrade! UNBOXING Cigar Oasis Ultra 3.0 & Setup

For any cigar collector, there comes a point at which you outgrow the “passive” humidification provided by little brown packets. For the CigarScore offices, that point was a few weeks ago when I ended up spending another $20 on four more packets in an attempt to get my humidors back to where I wanted them.

So, I reached out to our advertising partner, Cigar Oasis, to see if they had a better solution. I wanted to know if they had a more professional approach to cigar humidification than just “throw some packets in there and you're good!”

What I learned is that all Cigar Oasis systems, from the Ultra up to the Magna, are what I've started to call “active humidification” systems. Each unit has a fan to help circulate air inside your humidor, and that's the “active” part. Instead of a static, non-moving source of humidification, the fans in the Cigar Oasis units move humidified air throughout your humidor.

In the video below, I'll unbox the Cigar Oasis Ultra 3.0, which is for humidors with 50-100 cigars, and the Cigar Oasis Excel 3.0 unit, which is meant to work in humidors with up to 300 cigars.

Take a look.
