Blind Cigar Review: Macanudo Inspirado Orange Toro

Initial Thoughts

The Macanudo Inspirado Orange Toro was a light-in-color cigar with a tan, almost Connecticut Shade hued Honduran wrapper. Before lighting the cigar, the aroma of the leaves was quite intoxicating, and I went into the cigar with high hopes.

Once lit, the Inspirado Orange’s smoke had a doughy and bready aroma. The puffs delivered enjoyable hints of pepper, some spice, and maybe… just maybe something a little sour.

My first impressions of the Macanudo Inspirado Orange were just okay. But, within minutes, the cigar became more complex and more delicious. Is the Inspirado Orange worth $10? Let’s find out!

It wasn’t until I’d been smoking the cigar for a few minutes that the Macanudo Inspirado Orange really started to shine. This cigar became spicy, sweet, and a bit citrusy.

Final Thoughts

I was able to smoke the Macanudo Inspirado Orange Toro for just a hair over 90 minutes. And, while the first few minutes were underwhelming, I ended up enjoying this cigar quite a bit. True tobacco flavors shone through, and were paired with a nice level of spicy, sweet, and citrus.

Though I was surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did, that enjoyment was earned. In addition to being under $10, the Orange had great flavors and great construction. The Macanudo Inspirado Orange Toro earns a CigarScore 5.
