BLIND Cigar Review: Principle Boy Band Volume 1 Henkie

Initial Thoughts

Although I went into the Principle Boy Band Volume 1 Henkie completely blind, I immediately noticed the great aroma coming off this cigar. The marbled Ecuadorian Habano Hybrid wrapper was very nice, with a leathery texture and a little bit of oil on it.

Once cut, the draw was absolutely perfect. After a quick torching, the aroma of the smoke was fantastic.

The initial flavors of the Boy Band Volume 1 “Henkie”, which was blended by Hendrik “Henkie” Kelner who used to lead AVO’s and Davidoff’s manufacturing in the Dominican Republic, were wonderful. The first few puffs offered flavors that were creamy, sweet, spicy and cinnamon roll-esque.

Final Thoughts

After smoking the Principle Boy Band Volume 1 Henkie toro for right at 90 minutes, I’d have to say that it was pretty good. I really enjoyed the flavors, and, for someone, this cigar will be an absolute grand slam.

The complexity of the Henkie was off the charts. I was able to get multiple flavors at the same time, and there were also flavor changes from beginning to middle to end.

This was a great cigar with great flavors. It’s basically a Davidoff cigar that was blended for another brand. I enjoyed this one and would smoke it again. In fact, I’m curious about the other blends in the Boy Band Vol. 1 line. The Principle Boy Band Volume 1 Henkie toro earns a CigarScore 5.
