Initial Thoughts
I'm really excited about reviewing the brand new New World Dorado from AJ Fernandez for two reasons. First, as a brand AJ Fernandez has never been hotter than they are right now. Second, I've enjoyed the other cigars in the “New World” line, and AJ claims this is the best one yet. So, let's dive in!
The AJ Fernandez New World Dorado Robusto has a slight box press to it. The ribbon band at the bottom of this blend is gold, whereas the ribbon on the foot of the New World Cameroon is green, and the New Word (Maduro), is red.
After a quick snip w/ my Xikar XO guillotine, the cold draw was almost too open, but the initial flavors were cinnamon-esque and woody and reminded me of Christmas.
Once lit, the New World Dorado was very impressive. The initial flavors of wood and spice were delicious, and there was also some nice creaminess in there, too.
Is the AJ Fernandez New World Dorado Robusto worth $11? Continue below to find out =)

Final Thoughts
I got to smoke the AJ Fernandez New World Dorado Robusto for just under 90 minutes, and I really enjoyed it.
The first half was full of flavors of leather, spice, and wood. And, while the second half wasn't quite as delicious as the first, the Dorado still impressed.
Overall, the draw was about perfect. The burn was even and the flavors were delicious. And, a smoke time of almost 90 minutes for a tasty robusto… ya, this is a cigar you don't want to miss. The AJ Fernandez New World Dorado Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
