Cigar Review: Bandolero Serie A Aventureros Osados Corona

Lexus has Toyota. Acura has Honda. Infinity, Nissan. Well, in the cigar world, Byron and Atabey have Bandolero, their line of cigars for their more budget-conscious aficionados.

Initial Thoughts

The Bandolero Serie A Aventureros Osados Corona is a medium-dark brown, short corona cigar. The fairly plain, budget-looking label belies the expense and attention to detail that went into the rest of the blend.

With a quick cut from my guillotine, the Bandolero Serie A was very cedar-forward on the cold draw. After lighting the cigar, the draw was fairly tight and restrictive.

A few minutes into the cigar, the Ecuadorian Habano leaf wrapped cigar tasted spicy, sweet, and somewhat familiar. Also, within minutes, I found the hollow spot in the cigar (shown on video). Will this $14+ cigar be worth the price?

Let's smoke it and find out.

After the hollow spot in the first few minutes, the draw improved and I was able to smoke the Bandolero Serie A Aventureros Osados Corona without issues. The flavors were quite good with notes that were both spicy and sweet, leathery, and with hints of cinnamon.

Final Thoughts

I was able to smoke and enjoy the Bandolero Serie A Aventureros Osados Corona for right at an hour. While the first 10-15 minutes of the cigar were dang near ruined by a hollow spot, the rest of the cigar had great construction and delicious flavors.

While the hollow spot was a major negative, once I smoked through it the rest of the cigar was great. The Bandolero Serie A Aventureros Osados Corona was mostly enjoyable and earns a CigarScore 4.
