Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Robusto

Initial Thoughts:

This is the second time a Diamond Crown Julius Caeser cigar has shown up in our reviews. The first time was when we reviewed the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Toro, but that was back in February of 2019 and before we started CigarScore TV.

So, today, we're diving into the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Robusto. This cigar is beautiful. After cutting the end with my guillotine, the cold draw offered up floral notes that were very interesting. And, after toasting the foot of the cigar, the aroma was of cedar. Overall, my first impression of the Julius Caeser robusto was that this was going to be a great cigar.

Final Thoughts:

For the first two-thirds of the cigar, the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Robusto really tasted like a premium cigar. The draw was perfect. The flavors were complex and delicious. And I really enjoyed it.

However, in the final third, the flavors became slightly bitter and a little harsh. Though they didn't have a major negative impact on the cigar, the flavors did affect the overall enjoyment of the stick. Also, there were a few burn problems that just shouldn't happen on a premium cigar such as one from Diamond Crown.

At the end of the day, if you can grab a Julius Caeser Robusto at a great price, grab one. But, be careful to not overpay. Because I liked the cigar despite its flaws, the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Robusto earns a CigarScore 4.
