Initial Thoughts
For the second ever review of ACID cigars, today we’re looking at the Drew Estate ACID 20 Connecticut Toro.
If you didn’t know the Drew Estate ACID 20 Connecticut Toro was an infused cigar, you might think it was the Undercrown Shade. The Connecticut Shade wrapper leaf is light gold in color, and could (possibly), be the same leaf as on the Undercrown.
Right off the bat, anyone who smokes an ACID will notice that they’re not your normal cigar. The ACID 20 Connecticut has a very sweet tip that had hints of vanilla and honey in addition to the famed “herbs and spices.”
On the first puff, the flavors were pleasant and approachable. My initial thoughts were that the ACID 20 Connecticut was like an Undercrown Shade that had been dipped in candy.

Final Thoughts
If you’ve been avoiding ACID cigars because of how they smell, or because of what you’ve heard, or because you’ve had one of the other ACID blends… I get it. However, the Drew Estate ACID 20 Connecticut Toro was VERY pleasant and approachable, and any infusion added to this cigar was less than I expected.
Overall the construction was good. The flavors were mostly pleasant, but just a tad more wheat-y and grassy than what would be a homerun for me.
However, I would smoke this cigar again. I wouldn’t avoid it just because of the ACID branding. The Drew Estate ACID 20 Connecticut Toro earns a (surprising) CigarScore 5.
