When I was first introduced to the Corojo-wrapped Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 back in 2018, I was fixated on this blend. I fell in love with the spicy-sweet wrapper leaf. When we reviewed the H99 Papas Fritas a few weeks ago, my passion for this cigar was renewed.
When it comes to my favorite ways to try the Connecticut Corojo leaf, the Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 is one of them. Going into this cigar, I expected mild spiciness, some sweetness, and a smooth but complex smoking experience. However, the toro vitolas have been a real problem for all of the Liga Privada line. They're often plagued with hollow spots, and that's caused me to stay away from them.
But today, we're taking a look at the H99 2024 toro. Let's dive in.

Initial Thoughts
The Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 has a beautiful wrapper leaf with a reddish hue to it. On the cold draw, the flavors were like a dry, floral wood.
Once lit, the flavors were exactly what I'd come to love over the past few years. But will the construction on this one hold up? Will Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 toro smoke like a champ?
Let's find out.

Final Thoughts
I was able to smoke the Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 Toro for about 81 minutes. After I burned through the hollow spot(s), the cigar settled down and smoked slower.
The second half of this cigar was fantastic. The flavors were rich, the burn was even, and the smoke was plentiful.

However, this cigar had two halves, and the first half had construction issues and hollow spots that are common with toro vitolas across the #9, T52, and H99 series. Overall this Drew Estate Liga Privada H99 2024 Toro earns a low CigarScore 4.
