Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra de Saka Unstolen Valor

Initial Thoughts

The Muestra de Saka Unstolen Valor is a oddity among Dunbarton’s cigars in the fact that it’s one of the few not blended by Steve Saka. Right off the bat, the first thing I noticed was the fragrant aroma coming off this cigar. The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra de Saka Unstolen Valor is a cigar that costs over $20, is medium-brown in color, and smells great.

Once lit, the Unstolen Valor had some disappointing hollow spots that severely impacted the draw and the amount of smoke I was able to get. The flavors were incredibly strong; it was almost too much for me. The Connecticut Broadleaf in the filler was one of the more predominant flavors.

Well, good news; the hollow spots that showed up early in the cigar didn’t last very long. The aroma of the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra de Saka Unstolen Valor was amazing, but the flavors were just okay.

This cigar was very strong. And I think, at $22, it’s a little expensive. Had the Unstolen Valor toro been at or around $18, it would be a better value. With the short-lived hollow spots, the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra de Saka Unstolen Valor earns a CigarScore 4.
