What do you get when a cigar company decides to put pipe tobacco into their cigars? You get the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1, a partnership between two companies to celebrate tobacco.
Initial Thoughts
The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1 is a good looking cigar filled with the “finest of aromatic Black Cavendish, Golden Virginia and Burley pipe tobaccos.” From the outside, the Stillwell Star looks like a regular cigar, but with the pipe tobacco inside, it’s anything from your typical smoke.

Right off the bat, I noticed the Aromatic No. 1 had a sweetened cap. Licking the cap (so I could cut it without cracking) was like licking a piece of candy. The cold draw was a weird mix of dried leaves and candy. Once lit, the smoke smelled like… you guessed it, pipe tobacco.
Through the first 3rd of the Aromatic No. 1, I had a tight draw. The smoke was very light, and the flavors were mild. Regarding the flavors, both the cigar and pipe tobaccos were both overshadowed by the extremely sweet “cabeza dulce.”
Will the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1 be worth almost $18? Let’s find out.

Final Thoughts
The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1 might be for someone, but it wasn’t for me. I didn’t really like this cigar.
The cap on this cigar was incredibly sweet, and that sweetness lasted for about 30 minutes. There were also flavors that were tart, or perhaps bitter. Regarding the construction of the Stillwell Star, it was pretty good. There were a few times were the burn was uneven, but I never had to relight or even it up.
While I didn’t like the cigar, there wasn’t really anything wrong with it. And, although I wouldn’t smoke this again, and I don’t know who this type of cigar was made for, the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1 earns a CigarScore 4.
