Cigar Review: Fratello Classico Perfecto

Initial Thoughts:

Some cigars are made by the thousands. Some, by the hundreds. Others, like today's cigar, were part of a special club and were made by the dozens. The Fratello Classico Perfecto was originally only available if you purchased a limited edition Fratello humidor.

And, if you did, you also received 40 cigars in this perfecto vitola. However, you can now purchase these “limited edition” cigars via CigarClub here. Let's get into it.

The Fratello Classico Perfecto has a wonderful aroma. Its wrapper is beautiful with a slightly oily texture to it. With a quick cut from my guillotine, the cold draw offered up flavors of cedar. However, I did have to cut fairly far down the shoulder of the torpedo to get a good enough draw.

Through the middle of the Fratello Classico Perfecto, I enjoyed it. The draw opened up and was good, the flavors were good, and the cigar had developed into a good experience.

Final Thoughts

While I don't think the Fratello Classico Perfecto is as good as the robusto I reviewed here, this one was still quite good.

The tight draw at the beginning was super-annoying and there was a spot with an uneven burn. However, the flavors were good, and for $9, the value is good. Regarding the flavors, they were sweet, leathery, and spicy.

Because I enjoyed this cigar and the value it provided, I think you'd like it too. So the Fratello Classico Perfecto earns a CigarScore 5.
