Cigar Review: H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Toro

Initial Thoughts:

H. Upmann has been making cigars for over 165 years. To say they're a “classic” cigar brand would be fairly accurate. So, when I got the H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Toro in my tube from CIGRco, I was pretty excited.

Final Thoughts:

Despite having issues with the cracked wrapper on the H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Toro, the flavors and construction were still really good. I enjoyed the medium-bodied flavors and the Dominican tobacco really was quite pleasant. Additionally, the burn of the cigar was even and practically perfect the entire smoke.

Though I really liked the cigar, I didn't love it. And because it didn't quite hit all of the right marks for me, the H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Toro earns a CigarScore 4.
