Initial Thoughts:
One good thing about cigar subscription boxes is that I get to try new and exciting cigars. And today, I'm smoking the Hiram & Solomon Traveling Man Lancero I received in the June box from Luxury Cigar Club.
This cigar is like a long, thick cigarette, but that's pretty typical for cigars in the lancero shape and size. The Hiram & Solomon Traveling Man Lancero is very long and very thin, but the guillotine makes quick work of the stick. The Indonesian Sumatra wrapper is light tan in color and has a couple of off-color spots on it. But, the veins are pressed and well dehydrated and this looks to be a great cigar.

Final Thoughts:
While the Hiram & Solomon Traveling Man Lancero is a decent cigar, I only like it; I didn't love it. Additionally, I think the $8 price point is about right – any higher and you'd be disappointed.
The flavors of the Traveling Man were good, but they seemed to be fresh, green, and under-aged, resulting in a smoke that was fairly harsh on the palette. That said, the construction of the Traveling Man Lancero was good and I had no issues with the draw or with an uneven burn.
I wouldn't have any problem smoking this cigar again, but I wouldn't go to any trouble to find it at my local lounge. And because it was just an “okay” smoking experience for me, the Hiram & Solomon Traveling Man Lancero earns a CigarScore of 3.
