I don't smoke a lot of Kristoff cigars. It's just not a brand I think about a lot, and they're not a huge brand on the market. But, when I saw they blended the Kristoff Veinte 20th Anniversary to celebrate 20 years in business, I thought maybe it was time to see what they bring to the table.
Initial Thoughts
If you like dark and oily cigars, the Kristoff Veinte 20th Anniversary Toro is one you don't want to miss. Immediately after taking the Veinte out of the cellophane, I was struck by the almost-black Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper leaf. The black and silver label was a nice touch to accent the leaf and highlight the silver on the paper.
Before lighting the cigar, it smelled like a musty barn, specifically like old hay. On the cold draw, the resistance was minimal. I remembered that Kristoff often uses the entubado rolling method (which often leads to a looser draw), but I don't know if the Kristoff Veinte used that method.

Through the middle of the Kristoff Veinte 20th Anniversary Toro the flavors were strong, but not over powering. The flavors were sweet, a little musty, and slightly doughy.
Final Thoughts
I was able to smoke and enjoy the Kristoff 20th Anniversary for almost two hours, and what a afternoon it was.
The super-loose draw tightened up after the first few minutes. There was a minor uneven burn I chose to touch up. Other than those two things, the Kristoff Veinte 20th Anniversary Toro was surprisingly delicious. The flavors were rich, delicious, a little bit sweet, sometimes strong, and absolutely enjoyable.
I thought this cigar was a wonderful and surprisingly delicious cigar that I want to smoke again. The Kristoff Veinte 20th Anniversary Toro earns a CigarScore 5.
