Initial Thoughts:
La Flor Dominicana has been around for a long time. In fact, I remember smoking their cigars years and years ago and really enjoying them. Today, however, we're smoking a relatively new cigar from the brand. Today we're diving into the La Flor Dominicana La Nox.
The La Flor Dominicana La Nox has a really nice-looking, dark, and oily wrapper. As soon as I took it out of the cellophane and gave it a sniff, my already-high expectations were raised anymore. The wrapper had a very aromatic, leathery, and potpourri scent to it that was quite intoxicating.
With my v-cutter, I got a great cut and a perfect cold draw with woody flavors, like cedar or pine. Once I lit the La Nox, the fragrance of the smoke was incredible. On the first puff, I tasted flavors that were crisp and clean; not what I expected, but they weren't bad.
Just twelve minutes in and I started having trouble with the draw as if there were a hollow spot in this stick. So, we'll see how the rest of the review of this $13 La Flor Dominicana La Nox goes.
CigarScore:

Price: $13.00 – Luxury Cigar Club
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro

Through the middle of the cigar, the construction continued to confuse. While the draw was generally quite good, I struggled to get enough smoke. And, while I never found a hollow spot, something was always just a little off for most of the cigar. Additionally, the wrapper detached at about the 65 minute mark.
Final Thoughts
After smoking the La Flor Dominicana La Nox for almost 90 minutes, something is just off about this cigar. The draw was off, the amount of smoke I could get was off, and the overall construction just seemed… off.
However, I did enjoy this cigar. Had things with the draw, smoke and construction come together better, the La Nox could've been really great. But, that's not the case, so the La Flor Dominicana La Nox earns a CigarScore 4.
