Cigar Review: Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto

Initial Thoughts

We've said it before and we'll say it again – if you've not looked at the Macanudo Inspirado line of cigars, you're missing out. And today, we're going to take a close look at the Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto.

The Macanudo Inspirado White is a good-looking cigar. While the wrapper might not garner a $30+ price tag, it sure looks good for a cigar that costs less than $9 for a robusto.

Before lighting the cigar, the Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper smelled slightly of honey. On the cold draw, I tasted wood and possibly citrus. Once lit, the Inspirado White tasted of grass and citrus.

Is the Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto any good? Will it earn a spot on the list of “Best Breakfast Cigars“? Let's smoke it and see!

Final Thoughts

For the most part, I enjoyed the Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto quite a bit. However, in the final third, some of the flavors weren't as good as they were in the first two-thirds. Specifically, the lemony/citrusy flavors, flavors I enjoyed, were less present toward the end.

This cigar was good. I enjoyed this one, as well as another Inspirado White I'd smoked previously. The smoke time was great, the flavors were interesting and unique. The Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
