Cigar Review: Micallef Leyenda Toro

In the great state of Texas, there are a few brands that have a cult-like following. One of those brands is the Weatherford based Micallef Cigars. And today, we're going to review the Micallef Leyenda toro.

Initial Thoughts

The Micallef Leyenda is a medium-brown cigar with their standard coat-of-arms logo on the band. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper is smooth, slightly toothy, and well-pressed to make the veins fade away.

Before lighting the cigar, the aroma of the tobacco was like an empty closet. The wrapper smelled leafy and like cedar, and it was pretty enjoyable. On the cold draw, there was a nice floral note I found appealing. Once lit, in addition to the typical Micallef flavors, there was something sweet and creamy.

Will the Leyenda be the blend that converts me into a fan of Micallef's cigars? Let's find out!

Final Thoughts

The Micallef Leyenda toro was one of the best Micallef cigars I've ever had. Granted, my experience is limited, but I have had half a dozen or so.

The Leyenda I smoked had absolutely perfect construction. I got a great draw, the cigar put out a bountiful amount of smoke, and the burn was even.

Overall, this was a really good cigar, even if the flavor didn't suit my personal flavor profile preferences. The Micallef Leyenda toro earns a CigarScore 5.
