Initial Thoughts
The Ohana Nui Pulse Maduro is a great looking little cigar with a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper. The pigtail end is nicely rolled and is complemented by a closed foot.
Before lighting the Ohana Pulse, the cigar smelled good. The wrapper’s aroma was leafy and rich. Once lit the first few puffs were full of spice and lots of earthiness.
Is the Ohana Pulse Maduro worth adding to your humidor? Let’s find out.

Through the middle of the cigar, the Ohana Pulse had perfect construction. The flavors were of leather and earth, and there was absolutely no sweetness from the San Andres wrapper. I also tasted hints of spice.
Final Thoughts
I was able to smoke the Ohana Nui Pulse Maduro for 76 smoke-filled minutes. While I would’ve preferred some sweetness from the wrapper, the strong leather notes were enjoyable.
The aroma of the smoke smelled better than it tasted, and the Pulse will likely turn heads at your local lounge. The smoke had such nice sweet mustiness that didn’t show up in the flavors.
Overall, this cigar was fantastic. I would’ve preferred something a little sweeter, but, objectively, this cigar was great. The Ohana Nui Pulse Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
