Cigar Review: Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro

Initial Thoughts

While Padron Cigars are somewhat hard to find these days, in today's video I reviewed one I received from Luxury Cigar Club, the Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro.

The Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro is a beautiful cigar with a slight box press. As with many Padrons, this one had a smoking end that looked like a wrinkly elbow. The undisclosed wrapper is not oily. It's kind of dry, but it looks great.

On the cold draw, I tasted flavors that were of Cedar and other woods. Once lit, the Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro impressed early with delicious flavors and a draw that was perfect.

However, the Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro is almost $28. Is it worth it? Let's smoke it and find out.

Final Thoughts

According to my wife, the “Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro is more expensive, not as good, and doesn't smoke as long as the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Salomon.”

The flavors are really good. The smoke time was decent for a robusto. But, it's almost $28, so the price point is fairly high.

Taking everything into account, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this cigar. It's a little expensive, but that's the only downside. The Padron Family Reserve No. 50 Maduro Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
