Initial Thoughts
When I first reviewed the Plasencia Alma Del Fuego Panatela way back in 2019, I was just starting my cigar review journey. Now, three years and thousands of cigars later, we're going to take another look at this Nicaraguan puro from the volcanic soil of Ometepe Island.
The Plasencia Alma Del Fuego Panatela, like all Plasencia cigars, is a great-looking cigar. It's got a dark brow wrapper with a reddish hue, and it comes with a slight box press.
On the cold draw, the Alma del Fuego delivered notes of cedar. Once lit, the flavors were quite spicy and bold.
Is the Plasencia Alma Del Fuego Panatela worth $18? Let's smoke it and find out.

Final Thoughts
The Plasencia Alma Del Fuego Panatela is a pretty good cigar. It's spicy and unique, and a cigar everyone should try at least once. As far as Plasencia's cigars go, this is blend is tied for my second favorite (with the Cosecha 149) behind the Alma Fuerte.
I did enjoy this cigar. It provided a great smoke output but there was a minor burn issue in the final third. And, the tiny bit of extra glue on the label that tore the wrapper leaf is always annoying.
Overall, I think this cigar is just a tad expensive. But it's not likely that you'll be able to smoke every day, and the uniqueness of the leaves is quite interesting. The Plasencia Alma Del Fuego Panatela earns a CigarScore 4.
