Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Decade Toro

Initial Thoughts:

Oh, wow, this cigar takes me back. About 10 years ago, I smoked my first Rocky Patel Decade cigar, and it was wonderful.

Fast forward to today, and I'm excited to smoke a cigar I have such fond memories of. This cigar has a marbled Sumatra wrapper that begs to be enjoyed. The “Secret Blend” of filler tobacco is mostly Honduran, but my first puffs suggest there's some sweet Nicaraguan tobacco in there too.

Final Thoughts:

The flavors of the Rocky Patel Decade toro were absolutely delicious. This cigar reminded of the much higher priced Arturo Fuente Opus X line of cigars.

However, the uneven burn and the tear in the wrapper leaf led to a questionable but delicious smoking experience overall. Despite having a couple of issues, I would absolutely smoke the Rocky Patel Decade toro again, and for that reason, it earns a CigarScore of 4.
