RoMa Craft Cigars is known for making some pretty strong cigars. With today's cigar, the RoMa Craft CroMagnon PA Knuckle Dragger, RC has swapped the Connecticut wrapper leaf for a Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Will I be up for the challenge this strong cigar will present? Let's find out.
Initial Thoughts
The RoMa Craft CroMagnon PA Broadleaf Knuckle Dragger is a short cigar that will likely pack a punch. The dark Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper is almost black and will likely bring flavor that are Earthy and full of minerals from the soil.
With a small cut of the cap, the draw was quite open. The high-nicotine flavors of the PA broadleaf were immediately apparent even before the CroMagnon PA was lit. Once lit, the taste of the cigar was a high-nicotine, Earthy flavor bomb with whispering hints of sweetness.

Through the middle of the cigar, I had some issues keeping it lit. The CroMagnon PA seemed like it might do better at lower humidity.
t about the 50 minute mark, the RoMa Craft CroMagnon PA Knuckle Dragger developed a slightly uneven burn due to some moisture left in the wrapper leaf's stem.
Final Thoughts
During the first 5 minutes with the RoMa Craft CroMagnon PA Knuckle Dragger, you might notice a nice sweetness to delight your palate. For the next 70 minutes though, you're going to be slapped in the face with Pennsylvania Broadleaf. For most of the cigar, you'll get a lot of strength, and not much else. If you're looking for a cigar with flavor changes, this really isn't going to be it.
Halfway through the cigar it went out. The final third had the burn issue due to the moisture in the stem.
Overall, the CroMagnon PA is probably what you'd expect from a RoMa Craft cigar. It's strong, in your face, and unapologetic. If the sweetness from the first 5 minutes had persisted through the entire cigar, this would've been a homerun for me. The RoMa Craft CroMagnon PA Broadleaf Knuckle Dragger earns a CigarScore 4.
