This review is of the Texas Cigar Roadshow cigar which was made by Steel City Cigars. Texas Cigar Roadshow is a media channel started by David Skelton and the Lonestar Cigar Association. The TCR toro is Skelton’s first cigar, and hopefully not the last.
Initial Thoughts
The Texas Cigar Roadshow Toro features a Hybrid Mexican San Andres Habano wrapper that has a nice texture to it. It also smells wonderful.
Once lit, the Texas Cigar Roadshow cigar is somewhat dry and leathery. From the first puff, it puts off a great amount of smoke, and the Habano wrapper leaf really brings the spice from the very beginning.

Through the middle of the Texas Cigar Roadshow Toro, some lightly sweet flavors delight the palate. However, I did experience a few construction issues, namely an uneven burn.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the the Texas Cigar Roadshow Toro is a good smoke for the money. The cigar has decent complexity, with both flavor changes and multiple flavors at the same time. Is it the most complex? No. But, it does evolve as you smoke it.
Regarding the construction, the cigar I reviewed was decent. I don’t remember the others I’d smoked before the review having any issues, but the review cigar did have a couple.
I’ve smoked several of these cigars and I’ve enjoyed each one. The Texas Cigar Roadshow Toro earns a CigarScore 4.
