Initial Thoughts:
When I first grabbed this cigar out of the May box from CIGRco, I was like, “what the heck is a ‘Griffins'?”. Well, this golden cigar is from the Davidoff factory in the Dominican Republic.
The Griffin's by Davidoff has a golden wheat-colored wrapper that has a slight peach-fuzz to it. The first puffs were very light, but I have high expectations for this cigar and hope that it lives up to the Davidoff brand.

Final Thoughts:
This was an interesting cigar. The Griffin's by Davidoff robusto started off tasting ok. Then the flavors became more pronounced and more appealing, then they finished slightly bitter. The burn wasn't terrible, but it was far from perfect. The draw was consistently tight throughout the entire smoke.
Overall, I just wouldn't seek this cigar out. I think there are better cigars with more flavors and a higher quality of construction than this one. So, for my money, I'd look at something else.
And, because I wouldn't go out of my way to smoke another one of The Griffin's, this cigar earns a CigarScore 3.
