Cigar Review: Xhaxhi Bobi Unreleased

Initial Thoughts:

Today we continue our series of blind cigar reviews, where our goal is to provide you with a totally objective, completely neutral review of a cigar. Ellory went into this review completely blind; that means without knowing what it is, who made it, how much it costs, or what's in it. To see the entire series of blind cigar reviews, click here.

So, ya, I went into this cigar review completely blind. I didn't even know the code that was on the label that goes on all blind cigar reviews.

The first thing I noticed about this cigar was the pigtail end. Next, I noticed the beautiful wrapper. Then, after cutting the pigtail, I saw something that concerned me – green tobacco on the inside.

On the cold draw, there was very little resistance; I tasted wheat and maybe something sweet. Once lit, the cigar began giving off a fantastic aroma. With the first few puffs, I suspect the green tobacco inside the cigar is candela leaf.

Through the middle of the cigar, the flavors were good but not for me. I don't just love the flavor of candela leaf tobacco, and I'm pretty sure that's the green amongst the brown of the filler.

The burn continued to be even, the draw tightened up to become about perfect, and I could get plenty of smoke on each puff.

Final Thoughts

After a short 28 minutes, this cigar continued to have great construction, but I didn't love the flavors. Everything about this cigar was excellent except for how it tasted.

While the lack of information about this cigar is frustrating, just about everything else about this cigar was pretty dang good. So, the Xhaxhi Bobi Unreleased earns a CigarScore 5.
