Initial Thoughts:
What you'll notice first about the Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur is the beautiful, shiny wrapper. When you pick this cigar up, you know it's not going to be dry. The first few puffs on this cigar were leathery and smooth and the flavors were earthy and rich.

Final Thoughts:
The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur was one of the first cigars I ever purchased by the box. And, this stick didn't disappoint. The flavors were rich and the great flavors of Nicaraguan tobacco actually made me get out of my chair and go check the box for info about where this cigar was made.
There were only a few spots where the burn was uneven, but this was a great smoke for about 2 hours. I'm giving the Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur a CigarScore of 3 because of the higher price point, but it's a good, long cigar.
