Initial Thoughts:
Before lighting the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, I noticed two things. First, I noticed the My Father branding on the back of the band. Second, I noticed that this cigar had a thick vein running down the side which made this cigar look quite rustic.
However, when I lit the cigar, I could immediately taste the signature My Father flavor I’ve come to enjoy. After smoking about a half-inch, I think the flavors are good but not as good as an El Centurion or Le Bijou, but the aroma of this cigar is as good as any.

Final Thoughts:
While the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial has the flavor notes of other My Father cigars, this particular stick doesn’t seem to be built with the same quality. The flavors, like the wrapper, are rougher around the edges and aren’t quite as rich as I’d hoped.
As a stand-alone cigar, I’d say this Reserva Especial is ok. I’d smoke this cigar again, but it’s not good enough to make my “every day” list, so the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial earns a CigarScore 3.
