Cigar Review: Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sun Grown Robusto

Initial Thoughts

In some situations, you might say someone spared no expense to create something. Well, in the case of the Factory Smokes Sun Grown Robusto, Drew Estate spared every expense to create one of the cheapest, most budget-friendly, moderately premium cigars possible.

Other than being about as plain-looking as you can get, the first impressions of the Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sun Grown Robusto weren't bad. The cold draw resistance was about right, and even if there were some flaws, they'd be forgiven at this price point.

Once lit, the initial flavors didn't blow me away immediately. Oddly enough, I tasted something that reminded me of a corn tortilla. But, we have a long way to go.

Final Thoughts

After smoking the Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sun Grown Robusto for about 70 minutes, I can say that I didn't really care for it. Also, it's nowhere as good as the Factory Smokes Maduro.

Regarding the flavors, they were mostly unimpressive. Additionally, the construction on this budget cigar could've been better. I experienced an uneven burn multiple times, though I burned through most of them.

Overall, I didn't love the flavors and, even for a $2 cigar, the construction on this one wasn't as good as on the Maduro. So, the Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sun Grown Robusto earns a CigarScore 3.
